I first came across Thai yoga massage in 2004 when I watched a demonstration at the end of my yoga class. I was completely captivated by the graceful, dance-like quality of both giver and receiver, the way each movement flowed into another. This wasn’t massage as I had ever witnessed before and I longed to be on the receiving end of it.

I signed up for a massage straightaway and very quickly decided that I wanted to learn how to introduce others to its amazing benefits.

I went on to train initially with Alexandra Schunemann, and then to study to practitioner level with Niclaire Skye at the British School of Thai Yoga Massage. This was a 10-month course with 178 contact teaching hours. We benefited from being in a group of only 7 students with 2 dedicated teachers. After 100 hours of case-studies and 3 exams, I became a fully-qualified practitioner in 2007.

I am now a Registered Thai Therapist (RTT), belonging to THAI - an international body “that acknowledges, approves and endorses serious students, practitioners and teachers of traditional Thai therapy and Thai healing arts throughout the world” (see www.thaihealingalliance.com).

I now offer treatments in a newly refurbished studio dedicated to Thai yoga massage. Located in central Leamington Spa with easy, on-street, free parking, it is just 10 minutes walk from the town centre and from the railway station.
